"THE TWO SIDES OF A STORY" COLLECTION BY EMELIE JOHANSSON

17.7.12

Swedish fashion design student Emelie Johansson was one of the finalists in the Mittelmoda Award 2012. With her second year project "The Two Sides of A Story", she investigates how to visualize a communication between two persons in clothes. Her method was to use stereotypical menswear garments and change the outcome with a draping technique of using fastenings to create the frozen imprints of the communication. The inspiration is the duality of two persons in a dysfunctional relationship.
Emelie is educated in sewing and pattern cutting and her aesthetic is tailored and clean with great emphasis in the materials. She will receive her bachelor degree from The Swedish School of Textiles University of Borås during next year. Awesome work!!!
